This challenging class is faster-paced and focused on developing and combining strength, stamina, stability, control, balance, and fluidity of body, mind, and spirit. Each class includes core-strengthening, balancing, and inverted postures along with Vinyasa flow sequences which emphasize the sequential movement between postures, coordinated with and guided by deliberate breath. In addition, the other eight limbs of Classical Ashtanga Yoga are taught and practiced including pranayama (breath control), dyhana (meditation), dharana (concentration), and pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses). Because a foundational experiential knowledge of Classical Indian Yoga is required, this class is open to intermediate and advanced yoga practitioners. Mats & props are provided or you can bring your own.
